Join A Different Kind of Accounting Firm

When Haggett Longobardi was founded in 1984, our firm’s vision went far beyond traditional accounting and tax services. We worked hard to become our clients’ primary business advisors, providing informed, objective advice and services designed to address their business challenges.  Our unique philosophy and vision has allowed us to grow from an entrepreneurial venture of six to become one of the largest regional CPA firms in Connecticut.  We invite you to explore our unique approach to serving our clients’ accounting and business planning needs.

Hands-on Experience

At Haggett Longobardi, you’ll enjoy the unique blend of a highly sophisticated practice with frequent access to partners, clients and specialists and a philosophy uncommon at national firms.  You will receive a highly diversified job experience by working alongside a mentor on all types of engagements, including audits in several industries such as construction, healthcare, non-profit, manufacturing, retail and service industries.  You’ll also gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and business functions, including tax return preparation of all types forensic accounting, and a variety of management consulting engagements.

A Total Approach

At Haggett Longobardi, we understand that our clients’ challenges are rarely limited to tax compliance or audit issues.  Our clients call on us to resolve a broad range of business challenges.  Our approach to client service is called Total Business Planning.  Through frequent communication, we become familiar with all aspects of our clients’ businesses and the markets they compete in, allowing us to provide concrete solutions to their business challenges.

Staying Connected

Our commitment to staying ahead of the curve begins with the latest technological advances in the accounting field.  We use a paperless system for all our work papers, and are one of the first CPA firms to utilize data analysis software to alert clients to potential fraud in their workplace.

A Commitment to Continuing Education

We have a unique commitment to education and training.  Our staff receives extensive training in professional topics, business issues, as well as in the development of their personal skills.  Our annual professional development program, which includes the Haggett Longobardi Institute, empowers our staff with the information and tools they need to be innovative, effective business partners.

In just the first year, new staff members receive training exceeding that offered by many national CPA firms.  Your training will consist of in-house classes in our own state-of-the art training facility, and off-site nationally recognized professional programs.  You’ll receive valuable information about technology advances driving new accounting and business practices, as well as the latest in practice management, accounting, auditing and strategic planning.
